How it works: everyone gets the same topic β say BASEBALL β except one person, who gets BASKETBALL and doesn't know they're the odd one out. Everybody says one word that goes with their topic: glove, inning, diamondβ¦ court. Talk, argue, then vote.
πͺ Nobody's topic just sits on their screen. Every phone shows the same shut door β identical wording, identical colour, whether there's a topic behind it or nothing at all. Press and hold to slide it up, and it drops the second you let go. So glancing at somebody else's phone tells you nothing, and the odd one out can lift their door as often as anyone else without giving themselves away.
Scoring: vote for the real odd one out and you bank +1000 β quietly, even if nobody else agrees with you. Vote wrong and you get nothing. The odd one out keeps the role until the room actually calls them out, banking +500 Γ rounds survived each time they get away with it (500, then 1000, then 1500β¦). Get caught and they get one guess at the real topic to steal 1000 back.
π Getting caught early hurts. Called out on your first round as the odd one out costs you β1000 β and scores can go negative. The longer you'd already survived, the softer the fall: β1000 β β600 β β300 β β100 β nothing. Play it too safe and you never bank a survival bonus; jump in early and one bad round buries you.
π Scores stay hidden the whole game β on the big screen and on every phone. A live scoreboard would name the odd one out the moment they banked a survival bonus. The full round-by-round story drops on the final screen.
